A Cards Against Humanity game can become yours even without paying $25. Many editions are available in PDF versions, and you only need a printing guide to make the cards. In a glimpse of an eye, you’ll find all the necessary tips to make your favorite card game, for almost no penny!
Here are the most famous Cards Against Humanity packs which you can download for free:
But not only that. You might get many other CAH games (including special editions made by us) at Edition Cards, for under $10, and use the same printing tips as well!
Before continuing, you must know that the equipment below is ideal for making the cards and bringing the best results possible. However, you could make it work with just a simple printing paper & scissors!
To make this experience as good as possible, we’ll explain this printing guide in a few steps. Enjoy them all:
Step 1: Print the card sheets.
You already have many game options, so, pick your favorite, download the PDF, and print it out on A4 paper. We always recommend you would do that at a printing house, because of the professionalism, but, if you own a printer, you could do that at home just as well.
Whatever option you choose, we recommend you print the cards in color mode, because the black looks way more toned and has a higher quality.
Also, most of the PDFs allow you to choose between two sizes of cards. If you want our honest opinion, the large (standard) card sizes, 2.5 “ x 3.5 “, are a better idea.
If you wish, you could print the back of the cards too, so the cards look very original. That would look great when making Cards Against Muggles!
Step 2: Glue the printed sheets into linen cover stock.
Spray and align the two sheets together. Press the printed sheet of cards into the linen cover stock using a piece of waste paper and a rolling pin for the best result.
Optionally, glue the sheet of the back of the cards, on the back of the already completed front sheet, repeating the same process.
Step 3: Cut your cards.
Once your card sheets are completed, the final step is cutting them into their size. Preferably, use a sharp enough craft knife, and a metal ruler, and do all that on a cutting mat. However, the cutting process could be done with just as few things as a knife.
If you want to complete this step perfectly, you might punch the corners too, and make them look just like original Cards Against Humanity cards. That could be done using a corner punch, or a random knife.
Careful with that knife, kid.
Step 4: Make a box for your cards.
All this hard work should be stored in a safe place, right? Yes, we do have a few CAH cases & storage boxes around, but, we said we ain’t gonna spend money, right? So, with a little geometry knowledge, you can make a simple cardboard box for your newest deck of cards.
And, the final touch, you might add the edition’s logo too! So, if you’re making Cards Against Thrones, add its logo, mate!
Once again, these steps aren’t essential. The simplest version of the cards includes printing them on standard printing paper and cutting them out. You will have your game this way too. As always, we prefer to do what we do, perfectly.
Do you know what an even simpler version is? Cutting a blank white paper into 2.5 “ x 3.5” cards, and using our blank cards ideas to make your personalized deck. Pick and choose!
You absolutely deserve a guide from scratch to finish, when making your CAH game. With minimum expenses, our printing tips will give you the best possible results: even better than buying the packs for a bunch of dollars. Oh, and the loveliest feature is that these tips work for all PDF card games!
